Camp Euforia Highway Access and Important Announcements

ANNOUNCEMENT! Access to the festival via Hills, IA off of highway 218 is not an option! 520th St is still closed East of Hills, so please plan on an alternate route to arrive at the festival. Coming in from Interstate 80 through Iowa City is still fine, as are other routes from the east or south-east.

It seems Camp Euforia wasn't totally unaffected by floods afterall. Aside from this, though, Camp Euforia planning and preparations are coming along nicely. This year promises to be bigger and better than all the rest!

A quick note, also. We made a few modifications to the schedule below and would like to welcome Des Moines' Neu Moniker to the Camp Euforia lineup. They will be opening the festival on Friday afternoon at 4:30. Be sure to show up early to check these guys out, and get the best camping spots!

Camp Euforia Unaffected by Floods

The Camp Euforia grounds have been unaffected by the large flooding that hit Iowa last week, and the festival is still scheduled for the 11th and 12th of July as originally planned. We hope the weather cooperates with us so the weekend will be better than it has been in the past. The Camp Euforia team wishes everyone who lost anything in the flood our greatest sympathies, and hopes that cleanup and restoration will be swift.

Dead Larry Wins Second Battle of the Bands!

Congratulations to Dead Larry, winner of the second Camp Euforia battle of the bands. All the bands last night were really great. We'd like to extend a special thanks to all the groups that came in from out of town.

The Camp Euforia team has had a conference, and we've come up with an interesting idea. Since we generally dislike the concept of battles for bands that imply a winner and a loser in something that has no quantifiable result like music, we are planning on offering 2 free tickets to every band that participated in the battles as a show of our appreciation. Camp Euforia would not be possible if it were not for the contributions of all the bands and fans. The dedication of the bands that performed both nights was very inspiring, and we hope to be able to carry that energy into our festival.

Congratulations to everyone again!

Samba Nosso Wins Battle of the Bands!

The Camp Euforia team would like to extend congratulations to Samba Nosso, Iowa City's favorite samba band, for winning the Camp Euforia Battle of the Bands (Part 1) . Many thanks and congratulations to all the bands who entered the contest. The turnout was great, and the fans were numerous and enthusiastic. Pictures from the night will be coming soon!

Camp Euforia 2008!

Euforquestra Productions is proud to present Camp Euforia 2008, a festival of community and music, on July 11th and 12th. For another year, Camp Euforia will delight audiences with 2 days of local, regional, and national bands, camping, food, fun and activities. This year promises to be bigger and better than all the rest. The festival will be held at the same location, but many improvements have been made to the grounds.

Tickets will be available shortly through www.iowatix.com for $40 dollars, or it will be $45 dollars at the gate. Gates open at noon on Friday, July 11th and will be open until Sunday. Pleace check out the rest of the site to find out all the information about Camp Euforia!

There will be an attendance cap of 3000 people in order to ensure that there is no overcrowding, so be sure to purchase you tickets in advance.
